Rule Proposal: Commercial Lines Statistical Plan Update

The department has proposed amendments to 28 TAC ยง5.9501, relating to the Texas Commercial Lines Statistical Plan. The proposed amendments adopt by reference a revised Texas Commercial Lines Statistical Plan, effective April 1, 2017, for the reporting of premium and loss data by direct commercial lines insurers. The revisions update contact information for the department and the statistical agent, and align the reporting requirements for surety risks with the Surety and Fidelity Association of America's statistical plan.

Please visit TDI's website at http://www.tdi.texas.gov/rules/2016/index.html to review the proposal. The revised Plan is available at http://www.tdi.texas.gov/rules/2016/documents/tclspclean.pdf, and a version showing the revisions is available at http://www.tdi.texas.gov/rules/2016/documents/tclsptracked.pdf.

The department will consider written comments received by 5 p.m., Central time, on April 25, 2016. The proposal contains detailed instructions for submitting comments.
